This was called Durant's his final lecture in his Dual Autobiography,a commitment he made to long time friend Ethel Longstreet. However, his final lecture was advertised at the same event the following November 5th, to also celebrate his 73rd birthday, but he missed it due to ill health. His actual final lecture occurred on November 20, 1958.
